So, your appointment is scheduled, you’re feeling overwhelmed, and you don’t know what to expect. “What will my shower look like?” We’ve got you covered. Before we get there, please head over to our GALLERY page and see what our previous work looks like.
Step 1: Choose Your Footprint
Over 80% of baths or showers are somewhere in the range of 60″ wide by 30-32″ deep. If yours is different than that, no problem! As a licensed Onyx Collection Dealer, we can order a custom sized slab direct from the factory. Keep in mind, unless we are also quoting floor replacement, we will always try to oversize your shower pan or tub. While not always possible, this ensures that there is no exposed flooring when the job is complete.
Step 2: Select a Shower Surround
We offer two tiers of wall surrounds: Cultured stone and acrylic, although over 90% of our customers opt for cultured stone. Both are ~1/4″ thick and, if possible, we will install the surrounds from floor to ceiling in three large pieces. The difference between the two product tiers in the total cost of the shower normally factors out to about 20%, with stone obviously costing a little more than the acrylic. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. We will not try to up sell you, and we don’t mark up on materials.
Step 3: Fixtures
Every Bath Pros™ installation comes with an American Standard ceramic valve, fixture, and all metallic trim. We install shut off valves easily accessible for future access. Choose from the Townsend Series or the Aspirations Series. If you’d like something a little fancier, for a small upgrade we will include a dual shower head/wand in a matching finish.
Step 4: Accessories
Do you have any special needs? Mobility issues? Fear of falling? We can accommodate you. Depending on your weight, Bath Pros can offer flip up seating that can support up to 500lbs. Because we always demo down to studs and don’t cover anything up, we are able to brace behind the wall, and all of our safety bars span 24″, with options as long as 48″.
Step 5: Door
Do you want a door? Choose from a pivot style, bypass (opens from both side), or a fixed barn door.
