Like many of our recent write-ups, Jo and Bill met Tom Wolff and Josh Brodnicki at the 2025 CNY Home & Garden Show. Since we don’t have a customer-facing showroom, these types of trade shows are a great opportunity for us to connect with homeowners face to face. That said, Tom lives in Manlius, and it’s always a pleasure to meet people from close to home. While we serve all of Upstate NY, short commutes are a welcome bonus.
The couple already had a walk-in shower in their guest bathroom for visiting family, but their master bathroom still featured an aging bathtub. While walk-in showers are popular right now, many homeowners believe a house should always have at least one tub. Jo and Bill agreed—they wanted a remodel that featured a deep soak tub, premium finishes, and the cultured stone Onyx Collection walls they had seen at the Home Show.
Tom visited their home (a whole six-minute drive!) a couple of weeks later for a site inspection. They reviewed the layout, discussed options, and finalized selections. After a little back and forth on the variation of stone, Jo and Bill signed off with a deposit and secured a calendar date in early June.
For those familiar with our job write-ups, you’ve probably heard about our installation team, Ricky and Stacey Boyer. With demand booming, we brought in some seasonal reinforcements—Ricky’s brother Shannon, a retired Marine and experienced remodeler. Ricky, a retired Army vet, and Shannon had worked together extensively in the past, and this was Shannon’s third official job with us. We’re confident he’ll be a valuable part of our team moving forward.
The install went smoothly and was completed in just two days. For this project, we tried a new style of safety bar with a grippy rubberized backing to improve usability for mobility-impaired homeowners. The final installation featured a deep-soak white acrylic Kohler tub paired with Onyx Collection cultured stone walls in “Waterfall”—a calming, textured finish that added just the right touch of luxury.
