This is a light bathroom remodel, the second of two bathrooms we completed at a customer’s log cabin home in Honeoye. For the first bathroom, and details of the clawfoot tub to walk in shower conversion, click HERE. Happy with the price tag we delivered on the first bathroom, the homeowner asked us to include the second as well. This bathroom is on the second story and, because the downstairs tub was broken, the homeowners were using this smaller bathroom as their master. As you can see from the photos below, the bathroom itself wasn’t in terrible shape. It was dated, sure, but everything was functioning correctly and there were no leaks. Homeowner requested we preserve the original pedestal sink and toilet to maintain the integrity of the room and we obliged. The full scope of the remodel included replacing the floor with LVP and the corner shower with cultured stone slab.

Corner shower was removed along with some of the rotted subfloor underneath. Above that, a new composite NEO corner shower base was installed. Purple board was applied over studs and, finally, two 1/4″ thick cultured marble slabs in glossy “Carrara”. Finally, the install crew installed matching french style magnetic opening doors with 5/16″ thick glass.

Outside the wet space, pedestal sink & vanity were removed to make room for the new LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring in “Hickory Honey”. The entire job took the entirety of two and a half days. Entire project, combined with the downstairs bath, took about 8 days. This is why we are not a one day bath company! A quality product takes more than a day to deliver.
