What is the difference between a “1 day” bath company and a premium bathroom remodeler?
We build bathrooms using made-to-order, premium materials and careful craftsmanship instead of the off-the-shelf options most remodelers rely on. Our approach is rooted in intentional remodeling — every material, fixture, and construction method is hand picked to deliver the best possible long-term result, not just the fastest install. Our solid-surface and cultured-stone shower systems are custom-fabricated for each project rather than mass-produced acrylic units. The vanities we source are custom hardwood pieces with dovetail joinery and soft-close doors/drawers, paired with Onyx Collection tops and sinks or premium Cambria quartz surfaces built specifically for your space. We install heavy, high-quality glass doors, all-metal fixtures with ceramic valves, and commercial-grade toilets, while reinforcing every critical area with proper backing, secure subfloors, and fully waterproofed transitions. Even the finishing touches—like precise fit-and-finish work and color-matched silicone—reflect a level of care rarely seen in this industry. Every component we use is chosen because it performs at the top of its category, resulting in bathrooms that look better, last longer, and stand well above what most companies in Central New York offer.

How long does an installation take?
Most of our “wet spaces”, ie: tub or shower area, are completed in approximately 3-5 days. Smaller bathroom remodels are generally completed in about 1-2 weeks, with some of the largest jobs taking 3 weeks or more.

What does an average bath remodel cost?
Most of our premium tub or shower replacements using solid-surface or cultured-stone materials typically land in the $10k–$15k range. For more budget-conscious customers, acrylic systems can be installed for roughly half that. Full bathroom remodels that keep the same basic layout generally come in somewhere in the $20k–$30k range, while larger remodels involving full demolition, layout changes, or plumbing relocation often range from $30k–$50k depending on scope and selections.

Do you offer financing?
Yes. We partner with reputable lenders so qualified homeowners can spread project costs out into affordable monthly payments. Terms vary depending on credit and project scope, but most customers choose low-interest plans with no early payoff penalties. We’re happy to walk you through options during your consultation so you can choose what makes the most sense financially.

Do I need to be home when your team is working?
Not necessarily. While it’s helpful to meet the crew on the first day, you do not need to be home for us to complete the work. We do ask that you are available at project completion for a final walk-through so we can address anything that may need adjustment and collect final payment before our technician leaves.

What happens if the stone panel doesn’t fit?
There have been a few homes that we’ve worked in where we literally couldn’t fit the full panel into the bathroom. Don’t panic! We are prepared for this scenario. In this case, we simply cut the panel, generally above the shower head, and either transition with a piece of cultured stone finish trim or a neat, color matched silicone line. Your install tech will make this decision on a case by case basis. Trust us! We’ve done it a thousand times before.

Do you subcontract your labor?
Our installation teams include both W-2 employees and long-term 1099 tradesmen, but almost everyone who works in your home is part of our regular crew and has been with us for years. Many highly skilled bathroom installers prefer to operate as independent tradesmen because they’ve invested in their own tools, trailers, and workspaces, while others prefer traditional employment — we work with both so we can retain the best talent. What matters most is that we use the same trusted teams every week, they’re booked out with us for months at a time, and they take pride in delivering the quality Bath Pros is known for.

Why can’t you promise me an exact installation date?
We don’t promise exact installation dates because, as a smaller local company with a limited number of dedicated crews, unexpected issues on projects before yours can occasionally shift the schedule. It’s simply the nature of construction. What we can promise is that once we begin your project, we stay on it until it’s completed properly, and we never abandon a job to start another.

Are your insured working in my home?
Yes. We carry full liability insurance with coverage of 1 million per occurrence and 2 million aggregate. Your home is protected when you hire us, and upon request we can provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the homeowner as the certificate holder for added peace of mind. Please allow up to 48 hours for issuance.

What is cultured stone?
Cultured stone is an engineered stone material made from minerals like aluminum trihydrate and high-performance resins. Unlike natural stone, it is designed to flex slightly under normal conditions, helping it handle heat, moisture, and normal house movement without cracking. This makes cultured stone especially well-suited for showers and older homes. Read a more detailed explanation of how cultured stone works and why it’s designed this way.

What kind of warranty do you provide?
We stand behind our work. Our cultured stone systems include a “forever” manufacturer warranty, and we back our installation craftsmanship as well. We also leave homeowners with all maintenance and warranty documentation upon completion. If an issue ever comes up, we’re local — we answer the phone and make it right.

Can I provide my own materials?
For your shower or tub, no. We prefer to provide everything so that we can warranty and stand behind it. Read about a failing shower pan in Clinton, NY, and why it’s important for companies to provide and stand behind the materials they offer. For everything else, yes, although our catalog is so extensive we’d be surprised if we did not have something for your particular project.

Will I need a permit for my shower replacement or bathroom remodel?
Permit requirements vary by municipality. In many Central New York areas, plumbing permits are typically required when supply lines, drain lines, or ventilation are being altered. For lighter updates that keep all plumbing in the same location, permits are often not required. Because every town and village follows its own rules, homeowners should check with their local building or code office to confirm whether a permit is needed for their specific project.
