Each company they had spoken with quoted over $20,000 for a relatively basic shower remodel, and none of them were willing to handle the rest of the bathroom renovation.
To be fair, showers can absolutely reach that price point. We’ve completed projects like that before — typically when they involve unusually large layouts or extensive customization. But most standard showers measure around 60″ x 32″, and when the design is straightforward they can usually be completed at a much more reasonable price.
What surprised Amy and Liz the most was that every contractor they met with only offered acrylic shower systems.

Scheduling the Site Inspection
After a brief phone conversation with our local project manager, we scheduled a site inspection for the very next day.
The bathroom itself was structurally sound but clearly dated. Amy and Liz were not interested in a simple shower replacement — they wanted to update the entire room at once, which ultimately makes much more sense when a bathroom is already being opened up for remodeling.

Getting an Early Start
Our lead installation technician Ricky Boyer actually arrived Sunday morning to begin the demolition.
We normally start projects on Mondays or Tuesdays, especially when landfill disposal needs to be coordinated. In this case however, our schedule was tight and Vinny volunteered to get a head start on the project.
That extra effort helped keep the timeline moving quickly — something Amy and Liz greatly appreciated.
You may notice in the project photos that the vanity does not currently have a countertop installed. In this particular case, the homeowners sourced a custom vanity top themselves, and unfortunately we do not have final photos from that portion of the project.
One of Those Rare “Perfect” Remodels
In all honesty, we probably underbid this project slightly.
But Amy and Liz were wonderful homeowners to work with, and the job progressed smoothly from beginning to end.

While many contractors might schedule three to four weeks for a project of this size, Vinny and his team completed the entire bathroom remodel in just ten days.
Of course, not every remodel progresses this smoothly. Older homes especially can present hidden structural challenges once demolition begins.
