We recently had a customer in the Buffalo region who was very confused over the phone. Back in January, Tom Wolff (owner) had sat down with Jack before he left for his winter home in Florida. At the time, Bath Pros was in the running to remodel his tub/shower. Jack was upfront—he wasn’t ready to make a decision until he returned in the spring, and he understood prices might change by then.
In early May, Jack reached back out, but he accidentally called Tom’s personal cell. It took a few days to return his message, and by then, things had gotten a little strange.
Jack was convinced that Rome Bath Remodeling had bought out the Bath Pros brand. According to Jack, he had even stopped into their showroom, where he says he was told—by both the manager, Joe, and another salesperson—that Bath Pros and Rome Bath Remodeling were the same business. Not just similar—identical.
Understandably, Jack was a bit disturbed on the phone. Let’s set the record straight.
Bath Pros, LLC is an independent, family-owned and operated company—not a franchise, not a licensee, and certainly not affiliated with Rome Bath Remodeling. In previous years, we worked in Buffalo and Albany as well, but ultimately made the decision to narrow our focus back to Central New York.

Why? Because we care deeply about quality, reputation, and the customer experience. Rapid expansion can sometimes come at the expense of communication, oversight, and craftsmanship—three things we refuse to compromise on. We would rather be known as one of the most trusted and detail-oriented bathroom remodeling companies in the region than chase growth for the sake of growth.
Today, Bath Pros proudly serves only Central New York. Our focus is—and always has been—bathroom remodeling: full bath remodels, tub-to-shower conversions, walk-in showers, and everything in between.
Now, as far as product overlap goes: yes, Rome Bath Remodeling does use the same Onyx Collection shower pan we install. If you’ve read any of our previous articles, you know we’re huge believers in Onyx—it’s heavy, durable, and made right in Kansas. But that’s where the similarities end.
To our knowledge, Rome Bath Remodeling currently installs acrylic wall surrounds from BCI, the largest independent acrylic bath product manufacturer in the U.S. While acrylic isn’t a bad material, it’s not what we specialize in—and we don’t believe it holds up as well over time.
Bath Pros specializes almost exclusively in cultured stone wall surrounds and custom tile work. We install cultured solid-slab stone from the Onyx Collection and Samuel Mueller—two of the most durable and visually appealing manufacturers in the market. Recently, Onyx has become our go-to, thanks to its consistency, availability, and U.S.-based production.
We’re more than a little disappointed that homeowners are being left with the impression that our companies are connected. Bath Pros is its own company, with its own team, installation methods, and product philosophy. We work hard every day to build our reputation, and our name carries real weight with local customers. We’re proud of that.
Sure, imitation is a form of flattery. But when homeowners are left confused about whether two separate companies are affiliated, it’s important to clarify the distinction. So if you’ve been told—or are simply wondering—whether Rome Bath Remodeling and Bath Pros are the same company, the answer is no: we are entirely separate businesses.
When you call Bath Pros, you’re working directly with a close-knit team based in Syracuse, not a sales team or national call center. We showcase real photos of our real work, document issues we run into, never outsource installations, and we stand behind every project with pride.
If you’re a homeowner in Upstate NY and want a straight answer from a company that actually does the work, give Bath Pros a call at (315) 217-1151.
We’re not the biggest. We’re not national. But we’re real. And we’ll treat you—and your home—with the honesty and respect you deserve.
