Jenny contacted Syracuse Bath Pros on behalf of her mother, Terry, who was interested in remodeling their master bathroom. Terry was getting older and, according to Jenny, had a hard time saying anything but “yes” to pushy salespeople. To help her mom navigate the process, Jenny requested to sit in on our site inspection to take notes and help with the decision-making. She emphasized—multiple times—that no decision would be made during the initial visit.

If you’ve read any of our previous write-ups, you already know: not only do we allow this, we encourage it. We want family involved, especially when elderly homeowners are making big decisions. Whether someone is alone or surrounded by support, our approach is the same—we treat your parents the way we’d want ours to be treated.

Tom Wolff, owner of Bath Pros, drove out to meet them, take measurements, and present product samples to review together. Within an hour and a half, a detailed quote had been drawn up and every question answered. To everyone’s surprise—including ours—they decided to sign right then and there. No pressure, just clear information and a good fit.

There are only two good reasons to sign at the table these days:
A) Rising material costs due to tariffs and inflation. The price today is the best price you’ll get. Our slogan, ‘First Price, Best Price’ reflects this clearly.
B) Lead time. At the time of writing, we’re booked out more than three months in every region we serve.

Could we hire more installation techs? Maybe. But we’re not interested in growing at the expense of our crew. If the market ever slows down, we want to keep our team employed—not scrambling. Our installers have been with us for years, and we intend to keep it that way.

We collected a 40% deposit and scheduled Terry’s remodel roughly ten weeks out. Everyone was excited to get started. Interactions like these are what make this work so rewarding.

Ricky and Stacey, our most experienced installation techs, arrived on a Monday morning and got to work. Thankfully, this job was smooth from start to finish. The wet space featured Onyx Collection “Platinum” shower walls and a “Carrara” shower base, with a flip-up seat and two safety bars. All in-shower fixtures were in brushed nickel. The scope also included new LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) flooring, installation of an American Standard Cadet Pro comfort-height toilet, and replacement of the existing vanity with a beautiful ‘Bertch Alden’ all-hardwood unit, complete with a custom vanity top. Jenny opted to handle the painting and finishing touches herself, which we were happy to accommodate.

The entire remodel took five days. No hiccups, no callbacks—just a job done right. As usual, Ricky and Stacey’s attention to detail stood out, and we’re lucky to have them representing Bath Pros in the field.

If you’re in Aurora, Auburn, or anywhere in the Central New York region and looking for a reputable bathroom remodeling company, give Syracuse Bath Pros a call at (315) 217-1151. We don’t play games—we’ll give you honest information, even if it’s not what you want to hear. That’s how we’ve built our reputation—and we plan to keep it that way.
